| Freedom is participation, so sang Gaber.
Freedom is not the extensive capabilities of space and time, is not in the infinitive series of the possibility to grasp, is not the is not the vague and inexperienced walk through a generous geography, but it is rather in the quality of how we equip and organize to live.
Is participation.
And it is through it that the sky turn to grow back, the space not to compel in a place where time itself seems to be condemned.
Through participatory work, the work and daily practice and the reintroduction of the particular inclinations of everyone is possible to learns to win own fight against what threatens to become an alienating and unmanageable condition.
Joining accomplices to be masters of this strange and abused concept summarized in the word freedom.

Massimo Bottarelli
Born in Rome in 1946, the city where he lives today, Massimo Bottarelli has always been passionate by photographic art, with the aim to transfer the emotions of his shots to the observer. When all this happens - say - the emotional symbiosis that rises is the realization of his work.
His first photographic documentation is the 1968, during the disputes in Milan. In subsequent years he photographed especially the airports of the North Italy, where he worked, focusing on the means and aerial demonstrations.
Member of Officine Fotografiche since 2004, through the association has showed some collective exhibitions such as the one inside the Boutographies Festival of Montpellier in 2005, with a work on Testaccio area, and during FotoGrafia - International Festival of Rome 2006, he presented a work on the Ostiense district. Participated in the Workshop with Leonard Freed and Antonin Kratochvil, studying the techniques of reportage. Since 2007 he is responsible for internal affairs in Officine Fotografiche , taking care of the management of working groups and the project Visione del Ritmo. This last activity caused him to discover a new passion: the performance of blues musicians, who loves to photograph at the moments of greatest intensity of expression. The work led to the creation of the "Fronte dal Palco”, exposed to the locations of Officine Fotografiche in 2008.
