The Cultural Association of Officine Fotografice in Rome, is organising the fifth edition of FotoLeggendo Award, Photo National Selection of reading Portfolio open to all Photographers, with no distinction between amateurs and professionals. |

The meetings for the reading of the Portfolio will be held in Rome at the Istituto Superiore Antincendi (ISA) in Via del Commercio, 13 (near Mercati Generali - Gazometro) on 10 and 11 October 2009. Schedules for the reading of the Portfolio are as follows:
a. Saturday 10 October from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 2.10 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
b. Sunday 11 October from 9.20 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. |

The Selection of photos for the Portfolio is free theme and Portfolio presented (in the maximum number of 2 for Author, each properly identified by a title) will not be subject to limitation for the amount of images, neither for the format. |

The participation is free. |

The selection is not divided into sections; will be accepted all filming techniques and all press proceedings (on any type of support) but will be rejected presentations of slides and digital files even if Authors provided the necessary equipment for a correct view. |

The author (with that term also means any group composed of several Authors), is the only head of the content of their images for every operation of law. |

Enrollment at the “Premio FotoLeggendo” must be made by completing the appropriate registration form (also downloadable from the Site www.fotoleggendo.it) at the Secretariat during the opening hours (8.30 a.m./5.30 p.m. Saturday and 8.30 a.m./10.30 a.m. Sunday). |

The Secretariat will number each registration card and, according to the priority order of registration, will fix the date and approximately time of the reading of the Portfolio by the first Reader/Selector not busy. |

It is not possible to examine Portfolio on behalf of Authors not present. |

Each author will be entitled to a maximum of two meetings with the Readers each one no longer than 20 minutes, for each Portfolio presented (maximum of four meetings). The meetings will be open to the public. |

The author who, after the first reading, wants to submit the portfolio to a second reading, will reappear in the Secretariat and proceed (with the same card) to another entry. However will be care of the Secretariat give priority to Authors who have not yet submitted their Portfolio to any reading. |

Each author will be required to present his labour accompanied by registration card to the Reader assigned. The no-submission at the time stipulated will invalidate the appointment. |

The Portfolio reported by experts must be delivered to the Secretariat, with the statement signed by the Reader, for the collective examination of the experts gathered in the Jury. The Portfolio will be returned to their authors only after the awards ceremony. |

The Portfolio admitted to the jury that couldn’t be withdrawn by participants at the end of the Award ceremony ,will be shipped by postal service (you must first complete a written application form and the payment of postage to the Secretariat) after 45 days from the closing date of the event. |

The selection committee will be composed by the experts (or part thereof) responsible for the readings. |

Among the works presented, the readers/selectors choose (also with the reporting of a single reader) the Portfolio that will be admitted to the final commission which will meet Sunday October 11, after the end of the readings. Among these works, the Commission will choose the portfolio selection by reward and give public notice during the evening ceremony. |

The award ceremony will take place on Sunday 11 October, at 6.30 p.m., at the Istituto Superiore Antincendi (ISA) in Via del Commercio, 13. |

The Awards Ceremony provides for the allocation of the following prizes:
a. 1st prize: Trophy FotoLeggendo 2009, NIKON D3000 kit, medal FIAF, HF and Postcart
photographic books.
b. 2nd prize: FotoLeggendo 2009 award, NIKON Coolpix P 90, medal FIAF, HF and Postcart
photographic books.
c. 3rd prize: FotoLeggendo 2009 award, medal FIAF, HF and Postcart photographic books.
d. N ° 2 Reports of merit: HF and Postcart photographic books. |

The judgement of the Commission will not appeal and participation implies the unconditional acceptance of this order. |

The first and second portfolio placed will be retained (with the consent of the Authors) to participate, after invitation of FIAF, at the final selection of 'PORTFOLIO ITALIA', which will take place on December 5, 2009, beginning at 7.00 p.m., in Prato at the board room of the Palazzo Comunale (see terms and conditions of “Portfolio Italia "). |

The winner, that will display the portfolio on FotoLeggendo 2010, must leave in that circumstance, according to the penalty of being excluded from the exhibition, two images selected by the Organization to the Cultural Association Officine Fotografiche, and authorizing the reproduction of any publications, without any consent or any compensation, with the only mention of the name and storage for all purposes of any and all right on the images themselves. |
