Testamento geométrico

A cura di Punto di Svista

Who asks me the meaning of my work, which story i'd tell, often put myself in difficulties. Not because I do not know what to talk about, but rather because there were so many things to discuss, and it is often difficult to start.
In a context of contemporary photography, often linked to documentary or narrative of a reality more or less tangible, may seem simplistic to say that my work is prompted by intuition, that the image can be impressed after a dream that do not remember the contours or may result from a simple combination of items that I happen to see by chance. And that intuition as a kind of cadavre exquis, born one after another the other images, that I try to recreate preparing small sets with objects that I fiund in the photographed environments.
In my photos there is all that I love, from the visionary movies of Buñuel and Lynch, to the prosperous and abandoned bodies of Ingres, from the still lifes of Witkin, to the literature dreams of Borges, Cortazar and Bolaño, and more .
I like to say that every photo is a portrait I do, because there is in my world. And from the moment that i would like above all that peoples could discover what can't be seen in the picture, it is as I asked to bring the look and reveal my thoughts.
Perhaps the image that contains more of these words is the one of the storybook torned: it is an invitation to enter into a story that you do not understand, and let go where you want to be taken.
