Body scanner
Body scanner is the device of imaging of the whole body, used for the safety in the airports of the globalization. Potentially the bodies scanners don't respect the privacy of the passengers because the images could be filed and riutilizzate in an "inopportune" way. The problem of the health exists also: some instruments work to low issue of rays x, others with radio's waves of hight frequency.
But Body scanner is also the metaphor of the themes of investigation of this photographic project.
The differences (and the reciprocities) among expressive languages (color photographs and in black and white "hand-sewn" to overcome the partition between colours and black and white) evoke new runs of signs. The visual perception notices spaces, lines and forms that have proportions and different perspectives; here, the showy seams give only an appearance of likelihood, reporting, in reality, deep discrepancies. The sew ones are not photos but pieces of paper perforated and crossed by the thread: the sketch is a plot that is to the of here and beyond the deceptive plan of "bidimensional", creating a spatial concept that invites to go over the representation.
Parts of female bodies are sewings to parts of masculine bodies in the intent to sew the tears that divide, and the communication they don't make possible.
