An initiative of FotoLeggendo 2009 in collaboration with Photo Reflex.
A Wall of photos against the Walls in the world
Take your place in the V edition of FotoLeggendo trough the creation of a wall of photos that doesn't divide anybody, a wall against the walls of the world!
The word wall is metaphor of the segregation and the incommunicability for a long time.
November 9 th 2009 will be 20 years by the fall of the Wall in Berlin, symbol for excellence of hostility and incomprehension for European peoples. It was called Wall of the Shame, Iron Curtain. Then, as it owed, it fell, and for a lot of time that was considered an unique case of segregation represented by a wall. But in the world others long and imposing walls existed and others were born, also in the last years. They don't serve for holding inside the people anymore, as in the case of the Wall in Berlin, but to hold out them.
And other Walls, besides those real, physical, surround our existences: are the invisible walls, those that still divide people for different ethnic, affiliations, social, economic, cultural reasons.
"A Wall of photos against the Walls in the world" it is a small initiative that, to remember the anniversary of the fall of the Wall in Berlin, wants to suggest a reflection on the importance of the construction and the care of the relationships between people and the single ones, respecting the dignity of each, in order to reach a day without boundaries of division between territories or people anymore. Using a way able to reach everybody, and able to tell hidden histories, to document the reality in difficult situations, to overcome with the images the barriers that prevent the communication: the photo.
How to participate?
You bring with you to FotoLeggendo, in the days of October 10 and 11 th 2009, a photo that celebrates the theme of the meeting, of the exchange, of the respect, of the different cultures. A portrait, a situation, a photo of report. There will be a free space where you can hang it. A small gesture, simple, to share with other people, in order to realize a wall that doesn't divide!
But the initiative doesn't end here: at the end of the inaugural days of FotoLeggendo, on October 11, the editing of Fotografia Reflex will select from 4 to 6 photos among those hanged, that will be published in the number of November or December in a double page exclusively devoted to the initiative.
Some important recommendations
Every participant can hang only one photo on the wall, of maximum dimension 18x24 cms. On the back of the photo it is necessary to specify name and last name of the photographer, title of the photo and a valid email address. If you don’t have an email address, deliver a telephone number. In absence of such indications, the photo won't be considered for the publication on Fotografia Reflex.
Further information on the initiative can directly asked to the editing Fotografia Reflex,
tel. 06 36308595, or to Officine Fotografiche, tel. 06 5125019.

How many people don’t drink coffee?
How many people would do anything for a steaming cup, an express done with best practice: perhaps just waked up, in mid morning, after lunch or after dinner, accompanied by a nice cigarette…or a glass of water for the Parthenopean? And perhaps talking friendly while you are enjoying it?
This tradition is alive and always has been, and is confirmed by the existence of many bars and coffee shop in Italy and Europe. Coffee is primarily a great invention, based on the art to dish out it and use the best blends, a typical Italian specialties.
CafeXperiment photoblog is a collective, born with the intention of telling this habit (or vice, depending on the point of view) through the images sent by anyone who loves coffee.
Images of any kind: shots of everyday life, photos of Writers, scanning of powdered coffee, moka burns, the hand of the barman at work resumed at the mobile, images, moments, stolen flavors... everythings is right to tell the typical "coffee break".
