Exhibition of the final maquettes and of the books produced by Rinko Kawauchi workshop students

On May 2010, Rinko Kawauchi, supported by the supervision of Claudio Palmisano-10b, printing and post-production lab, Massimiliano Mancini -Tipolitografia Trullo-, and Claudio Corrivetti -Postcart publishing house-, run a workshop at ISFCI in Roma. Goal of the workshop was to make a photobook maquette and to explore the difference and the projectual peculiarities that lead to the production of a book.
At the end of the week, during which the 13 participants built their own maquettes, rielaborating and in some cases revolutioning their works, the jury decided the winner of the workshop prize, Penny Klepuszewska, consisting in the publication of the best maquettes by Postcart, “Living Arrangements”, here shown as a book together with the last maquettes made by the other participants.
Besides Klepuszewska book, this year’s workshop had one more book published by Postcart, the one about Villaggio Olimpico in Roma by the collective group [9] Photography.
